Find Local Shops
Reviews
Take a look below at what some of our customers think about the Hungry Delivery service:
"a) they deliver fresh produce from my favourite local butcher, fishmonger, deli and bakery
b) that means I don't have to actually go from shop to shop myself, but I am still supporting small local quality businesses
c) their veg is just fantastic, it is sooo hard to find cheap, affordable, organic vegetables from any of my local supermarkets, I spent £1.50 on 250g of green beans and I swear their scales must be broken because there was enough to feed my family twice over. Or is it just because I am used to the cellophane wrapped row of ten green beans for £2.50 that you get in Waitrose?
d) their fresh bread is proper bread at really reasonable prices, £1.50 for a large organic loaf... you can't really do better than that.
e) I just really like that funny little van"

"Hungry delivery is a fantastic sevice for me because I love to buy
good food and I'm also a big supporter of local shops. I think it's a
real shame that so many 'local' and 'metro' supermarkets are springing
up all around Clapham and Wandsworth. These places only ever have the
same things: hugely over-packaged produce that's been shipped half way
round the world. And it often doesn't taste good because it's been
chosen for appearance not taste. As well as that, the staff never
have a clue about what they're selling. I've also been surprised how
often the produce is actually cheaper than the big chains.
I work long days so it's hard for me to be back before the small shops
close - and to be honest, I often don't have the energy to go to a
number of different places to get all of the things that I want.
Shopping on hungrydelivery means that I can 'pop in' to the buther,
the baker, the really nice wine shop and get really top quality food
and wines that I couldn't get - even from the best supermarket online
delivery. I also love the fact that I can order on hugrydelivery for
smae day delivery - that's not available from anywhere else!
hungry delivery shops use very little packaging and what they do use
is mainly paper. All of the fruit and veg I buy comes in a big
cardboard box that gets taken back the next visit.
Shopping at hungry delivery allows me to support my local shops and
the Clapham economy and get high-quality, fresh, locally sourced food.
And in addition to all that, it's great to have Richard deliver all
my shopping in his eco-friendly Gordon van!

"I've been using the Hungry delivery service now privately , and as an existing customer of both Moxons and Moen I really appreciate the convenience of delivery. I have to say that the quality and the choice of fish and meat is every bit as good online as it is in the shops. What was a surprise was the quality of vegetables and fruit from the grocers, who I assume must supply top restaurants, as they are situated in New Covent Garden. I've never known veg to last so long in the fridge - 2 weeks later a cauli was still good with no signs of browning or softening. They also have great wild mushrooms and red carrots! I don't mind buying stocking up on a whole week of veg now knowing I won't be throwing anything away."
