History
Hungry Delivery is an on-line grocery delivery service run by local resident and entrepreneur Richard Broomhead, ably assisted by Gordon, his eco-friendly electric delivery van.  Richard spent several years working in the City before putting away his pin-stripes to travel, and was inspired to start Hungry Delivery on his return:

“I’ve lived in Clapham for six years and feel lucky to have such wonderful local shops here in South West London - the quality and freshness of the produce and the level of customer service just can’t be matched by national supermarkets, whether online or in the stores. And it’s not just about the amazing products they sell – these shops are part of the culture and identity of where we live, and I want to help protect that.”

Richard launched Hungry Delivery to bring this quality and service right to your door.  He and the Hungry Delivery team hope to provide an alternative to supermarket shopping whilst helping you to support your local community.

Gordon’s Story
Hello, Gordon the van here!  Like Richard I started out in the City, not in an office but delivering sandwiches.  It was fun to start with, but a bigger, noisier van replaced me and I was retired to a lonely lock-up in North London.   

Luckily Richard rescued me and now I’ve got a smart new green livery with the Hungry bite logo – you might have seen me delivering quality produce from local shops to homes in Clapham, Battersea and Wandsworth.  I’m 100% electric, I emit zero o2 emissions, and I help reduce traffic on our streets.  Another great reason to use the Hungry Delivery Service!
